In the tradition of Harry Potter comes The Grimstones. Martha Grimstone is gifted with an ability to read people’s dreams. Her mother dreams of babies, and Martha longs to perform a magic spell to create one. Her Grandfather forbids her, but in the night she sneaks into her lab and works the spell. A giant egg is created, from which hatches something unexpected…
A magical and inspiring tale, sprinkled with comedy, which explores themes of family, love and loss, and acceptance of difference and disability.
Created and performed by a deaf artist, The Grimstones offers positive role modelling with audiences delighting in the added poetry and beauty of the accompanying sign language. Hearing audiences also will also enjoy watching sign language, which is both beautiful and poetic.
